What is a Bill?
Stray produces four main bills throughout the year. Each bill has an open submission to any members who wish to write and/or direct a production. These get selected throughout the year.

We will be opening submissions for Original Bill and Stir-Fried in the near future, so stay tuned!

Previously referred to as 'Historical Bill', the Classical Bill play that will be selected will be considered historical or a modern classic.
Previous shows that have fit this bill have been:

Our Classical Bill for 2023 is 'The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui' written by Bertolt Brecht and directed by Lerato Islam.

Stir Fried
Stir-Fried is Stray's annual short play festival. 2023 marks the 15th anniversary of this crowd favourite tradition.

Original short plays are submitted by Stray members and are linked together by a well crafted 'framework'.
