What is a Bill?
Stray produces four main bills throughout the year. Each bill has an open submission to any members who wish to write and/or direct a production. These get selected throughout the year.
As of 2024, our four Bills are now classed into a set of two Double Bills! Our Semester 1 Double Bill focuses on plays by existing playwrights while our Semester 2 Double Bill centres around the works of our community!

Stir Fried
Stir Fried is Stray's annual short play festival. 2026 marks the 18th anniversary of this crowd favourite tradition.
Original short plays are submitted by Stray members and are linked together by a well-crafted 'framework'.
In previous years, the collection of plays has followed a theme:
2024's theme was “Sweet Sixteen" in commemoration of the 16th anniversary of this Stray tradition.
Last year's theme was "Scare-Fried" with a collection of spooky and scary stories.
